The Friendship Song - lyric notes

I’m continuing to gradually revamp the Urban Tapestry website, gradually adding songs back to our list. To make it more interesting for me and for visitors, I’m enhancing each song page as I add it back in — often with cartoons or photos, plus a bit of background info about the song and how it was created. Allison and Jodi will add notes to their own songs when they have time but meanwhile I’ve been monopolizing the song list. :-)

I’ve updated the Urban Tapestry MySpace page with some new songs since we can now post 10 songs. I’m also starting to add UT songs with lyrics and background info to the official Urban Tapestry site, blog-style. Whenever possible, I’ll also include a link to a place online where you can hear the song. Our MySpace page includes a song from our Very First album (now out of print, was only available on cassette): “I’ll Be Fine”, one of Jodi’s songs.

I also need to upload more songs to the FilkArchive soon, include Urban Tapestry’s rendition of Heart Of The Mountain (Phil Mills has kindly given his permission). Hoping to do that this afternoon…

The Morning After — not supported?

Hm…Love the theme, but the online documentation certainly needs some beefing up and there doesn’t seem to be much online support; I suspect the creator is pretty busy with other lifestuff. I may switch back to Thesis. I like the look of TMA better, but without the support I’m not sure if I’m willing to stick with it. I’ve already paid a developer’s fee for Thesis, and that theme comes with a lot of online support from the developer as well as the online community.
