It looks like filksinging is getting more attention in Canada in recent years. I see that 2005 was the first year a filksinger won this award, and three of the 2006 nominees were filksingers.
And pretty MacBook! I still love my PowerBook G4 -- the little blib I had with it a month ago scared me and I'm glad it was fixed and working fine now.
Yay and congratulations! I think I've mentioned on one of my previous conreps that I've long considered Urban Tapestry a source point for what filk's about -- the palpable, infectuous joy you display in creation and performance; in bringing your interests and passions to musical life. When I was first discovering fandom, Urban Tap, Ookla and Randy H. were filk to me; and that's a pretty fine place to begin.
So great that the group that got me into filking has been recognized in Canada - and by mostly non-filkers! Way to go. Putting that beside the Pegasus makes the shelf pretty impressive, and so well deserved.

(I looked over the award's history and only saw one other filk name. I wonder if that's correct.)
