( Illustration Friday, Will Write For Chocolate updated, going to Consonance, GAfilk anticipation, and some extra FilKONtario thank you notes. )

Carolyn Brown and me

To FKO attendees: Do you know of any other people at the convention who deserve extra special thanks? Someone who helped or supported you in some small (or big) way during the weekend? Someone you saw working behind the scenes to help the convention run more smoothly, even in a small way? Please post your comments below...

Wow, that would be so awesome to have you and Jeff down at Consonance next year. Vixy is literally bouncing up and down at the idea right now as I type this. :-)

Well... Elizabeth Wrigley and Karin Porter, Sue P's daughters, ran the con suite and did an absolutely magnificent job. They had so little help from volunteers that they plan not to repeat.

I wasn't at FKO, but I think I want to marry your Illustration Friday cartoon.

Argh! I wanna go to Consonance now! And GaFilk! And... well we WILL be at FKO next year for N'Early Music b'gawd and we *think* we'll be at ConCertino this year (but presume you won't make that?)

Rand's girlfriend is just so darned cute! (maybe she hates that but I keep thinking that everytime I see a picture of her - we've barely met so I hate to think she'll hate me now! ;-)

I'm so glad that Jeff (your Jeff (tm)) had a good time! I've always been impressed that you've made a "mixed marriage" work but Ed and I always say that it's good to have a lot of crossover in your top passions in life - even if in unequal amounts. :-)

Hugs

Yay yay yay! Lots of people coming to next year's FKO! I am *so* bouncing off the walls with excitement already at the prospect. Yay! Bounce!

*ahem* I'll shut up now. :)

Yay, glad to hear you'll be at FKO next year!

re: Jeff (tm) and "mixed marriage"...I find having differing interests is good for our marriage in some ways, but I do envy couples like you and Ed who always go to conventions together. And I agree..."it's good to have a lot of crossover in your top passions in life - even if in unequal amounts. :-)"

Well, maybe I'm wrong but you guys do seem to have a lot of shared interests too. :) And, I must admit, although I'd rather go with Ed sometimes it is kind of fun to go by myself and just be totally on my own. ;-)

Oh, Jeff & I definitely do have a lot of shared interests. But I'd be going to more filk conventions if he was as interested in filk as I was, and I'd also love it if he felt the same way about the filk community and my filk friends as I did. But I was pretty happy when he came to FKO and saw Urban Tapestry perform for a filk audience for the first time (he told me later at home, "hey, you guys are pretty good!"), plus meet some of the people I've been talking about all these years. It's a start, y'know? :-)

Oh good! I shall optimistically look forward to getting to know you a bit at FKO next year. (I say optimistically because let's face it - there's *never* enough time to talk to everyone I want to at a con darn it!) :-)

PS - hey, do you know where to buy the NMC shirts? Do you have them on one of your e-stores?

For n'MC t-shirts, you should probably contact Judith. I've written to ask her since a couple of others having asked me about the t-shirts as well.
